INGREDIENTS:
Makes a full cookie sheet

PASTRY DOUGH:
1 1/2 cup   Flour
1/4 tsp   Salt
1/2 tsp   Baking powder (optional)
1/2 cup   Lard, butter, or shortening
  • Cut the above together into pea size pieces.  
  • Blend 1/2 cup milk and 1 egg and pour into dry mixture
  • Cut the ingredients together
  • Roll into a rectangle
  • Fruit Filling: Saskatoons, nvigorate Seabuckthorn
  • Layer fruit in a 1:1 ratio so that you cannot see the bottom.

FRUIT FILLING:

  • Saskatoons, nvigorate Seabuckthorn
  • Layer fruit in a 1:1 ratio so that you cannot see the bottom.


TOPPING:

1 cup   White flour
1 cup   Sugar
1/2 cup   Butter
  • Cut together using a pastry knife until a fine powder.  Sprinkle over the filling.
  • Bake at 350 F degrees for 30 to 35 minutes until golden brown.  As Dave says, “until the smells wafts through the house “.
